Acantilados de los GigantesAt Tenerific Sunshine Holidays we focus on the south west of the island, an area with the best climate and most dramatic sea views, in the area of Santiago del Teide. The Acantilados de los Gigantes - Cliffs of the Giants - are sheer rock walls which plunge into the ocean. This area is ideal for the more discerning holiday maker as it is not over commercialised. The small picturesque town of Los Gigantes shelters beneath these magnificent cliffs.

The cliffs are the main attraction of the area and there's a variety of boat trips to chose from, which often include dolphin watching or a trip to the stunning Masca valley. Fisherman landing his catchVillage life centres around the harbour area and there's a wide range of local bars and excellent restaurants providing relaxed low-key nightlife. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location away from hundreds of bars and clubs, this could be the area for you!

One and a half kilometres along the coast is Puerto de Santiago, a traditional Canarian fishing village, and 4 km further is Playa de la Arena, a small resort with one of the finest black volcanic sandy beaches. The area has many small coves, steep hills, dramatic valleys and stunning views if you want to explore.

Fresh fish is always on the menus often served with the Canarian speciality papas arrugadas (wrinkly potatoes) and mojo, a dip that tends to be either red - chillis - or green - parsley or coriander.
